The Relations between the Causative Constructions and the Benefit in Chinese-Japanese Translational Novel

Both passive expression and causative expression are related to voice, but the relationship between passive expression and viewpoint is often referred to, while the relation between causative expression and viewpoint is rarely mentioned. On the other hand, as many people have stated, there is a connection between Japanese "saseru" and "temorau". Hayatsu also points out that some Japanese causative sentences include the meaning of benefits. From these things, it is possible to predict the relationship between causative expression and viewpoint. In this paper, in order to consider the relationship with viewpoint of Chinese causative expression, first, we searched for the causative expressions that include the meaning of benefits in Chinese novel, and then, analyze the trends of Japanese translation of those expressions.
